What fruits are in season this March in Sydney - Australia

Lovely Australian natural-grown fruits

March is the month when the summer is gradually going to an end to make room for the autumn season. March is delightful, with great temperatures and a huge variety of fruits in season.

Some of the fruits in season are:

Juicy and tasty fruits from the market
  • Apple
  • Avocadoes
  • Bananas
  • Berries
  • Figs
  • Guava
  • Mangoes
  • Pears
  • Pineapples
  • Plums
  • Pomegranates
  • Quinces
  • Rhubarb
  • Strawberries

The floods in Queensland and Victoria have disrupted the fruit supply. Therefore, the quality is down and the prices are up, some of the prices are drastically high. Some of the fruits are still juicy and nice. Some, on the other hand, have a bland taste, don’t look as good and they don't last for very long.

Some supermarkets are thinking of importing masses of fruits from China. But, some of the big supermarkets, like Coles and Woolworths, still fight for Australians and try to support the Australian growers.

Australians should buy spotted, not so perfect, fruits. Keep in mind, the consumers have a huge role in supporting the Australian natural-grown farming. If people buy what's available then the sales stay high. There's no risk of going oversees for cheaper products. As soon as the big corporations start importing produces, there is no turning back. Choose quality and healthy over low prices!
